The Seasonal flu shot and the swine

I haven't been on here in a while and so here I am. Over the last weekend I decided to take the seasonal flu shot, not because I wanted it but because my youngest daughter has asthma and I felt I would try it first to see if I will allow her to have it. Now I'm suffering because the vaccine has caused me to have a flare of my disease (multiple sclerosis). Some help huh? Here I am scared out of my mind because of the swine flu and the chance of dying when everyday we have a chance of dying. The swine flu isn't new and yes in 1918-1919 a lot of Americans died from it. I don't think it was because of the flu itself but rather not being clean. Today we are more health conscious. Over all I hope that the next wave will stay mild...

    Hi Mika,
    I admire your courage and hope that you are feeling better soon. The thought of death is scarry but I hope that this will pass and you will once again enjoy a reprieve from your illness. Take care, may your be there to strengthen you in your time of need.

    Everything will be fine. Rmember by Jesus stripes we are healed. Pray over your babies. Just keep that faith. Pray about everything, and God will do the rest. He will even touch the lives of those who will take care of you and your family medical wise. God is a good God. Just do not get discouraged!!! Keep that faith and read psalm 91 DAILY and meditate over the word...God bless you always..Your spritual sister, Angelia

    Thank You guys I will try to keep light over the situation I'm going through and keep my eyes on God. I need him, the treatment I'm on now have me so depress and with no one to lead on it really hurts..Love you guys

    I'm sorry to read of your flu shot incident. I am strongly against them myself. My doctors insisted that my daughters (2 of whom have asthma) get the shot until I pointed out to them that it is egg based and my daughters are allergic to eggs. My youngest girl who has multiple food allergies and asthma did end up getting the flu with 102 fever, and it was scary, but they gave her anti-viral meds and she is fine now. I still feel like we made the right choice. I hope you are doing well now, my thoughts and prayers are with you! Allergen free hugs,
